Twitter user “耳くそ (@J7M7oO9hF9ZuI9a)” went viral after sharing an original illustration made by artist “リコシェ号 (Ricochet-gou)“, where it shows an office worker whose huge breasts got stuck in the access doors to the public train. The illustration went viral not only because of the curious situation, but also because the feminist collective in Japan had something to say about it.
Twitter user “よもぎ嘾子 (@yomogidango0909)”, who describes herself as a feminist in her description, wrote about it:”What if it was a picture of a man’s penis caught in a tourniquet? Can an advocate for free speech say, ‘I think it’s OK because it’s free speech’? Can you say that? Can you forgive the author? What if we lived in a world where if you said you didn’t like something, you were told you were a backward asshole? You don’t like the idea, do you?”.
Evidently this was the comment that attracted the most opinions on the subject, the following standing out:
- “I always thought it was disrespectful to women to treat breasts as sex organs, but it seems it’s simply a matter of when it suits them to treat them that way and when it doesn’t“.
- “How do I get my cock caught in the tourniquets?“.
- “I don’t mind that this painting is displayed in a public place like a train station, but I also don’t mind that the artist drew it as a hobby. Do you like living a life where you feel you can’t forgive the artist for that?“.
- “I’ve never read City Hunter and have never heard anyone make such a claim, or even think about it. As usual, the Twitter feminists’ idea of “you wouldn’t like it if I did this” is not counterattacking at all“.
